Now Offering Teletherapy and In Person Sessions
Hello everyone my name is Gloria Knox. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama. I have more than 25 years of experience as an LPC. When people experience trauma and severe life stressors, more often than not, their lives, at some point, begin to unravel. My greatest passion is to walk side by side with people on their journey to wholeness and bring healing to those who have lived through traumatic and stressful experiences. I provide therapy to individuals, adults, children, adolescents, couples, and seniors.
Some of my specialty areas are ADHD, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, depression, panic disorders, adjustment disorders, caregiver stressors, anger management, and grief and loss. I employ techniques from a holistic approach utilizing Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My educational background includes an undergraduate, BA from Patten University, in Oakland, California and a master’s degree in counseling and divinity from COG theological seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee.
In Her Personal Life
In my personal life, I love spending time with my husband, our 11-year-old grandson, and our family’s French bulldog, Queen. I love trying out new recipes, reading, and trying new things.
