Meet Jennifer

Now Offering Teletherapy Sessions

My name is Jennifer Merryman and I was born and raised in Alabama. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience in providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults and families. I am currently licensed in Alabama, Texas, Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska. I was an in-school therapist for eight years where I provided therapeutic interventions to students in public schools. I have also worked with adolescents and families involved in the juvenile probation system. For the past four years I have provided individual services for adults, children, teens and caregivers in multiple states. Currently, I provide individual therapy services for adults, caregivers, teens, and children aged eight to 18. I personally battled infertility for five years prior to having my first child and lived in an area with a lack of mental healthcare options. I am passionate about providing complete telehealth services to ensure you have easy access to mental health services at a time and location that is convenient for you.

I offer a safe, confidential, client centered approach to therapy and use modalities such as CBT, DBT and Exposure Therapy to learn effective coping strategies to aid in symptom reduction designed at your own pace. Some of my specialties include stress disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, self esteem, parent management and trauma.

In Her Personal Life

I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, drinking coffee, fishing and doing any activity by the water. I met my husband 10 years ago and we are a blended family. Together we have four children, three daughters and one son. I also have two dogs that I love dearly.
