Grace Geisler is a licensed professional counselor with over twenty years’ experience helping children and adults improve their mental health. She spent nearly 12 years at a child advocacy center working with physically and sexually abused children and their families. She also has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities. Grace’s approach to therapy is relationship-centered and focused on creating a sense of hopefulness, safety and trust for the therapeutic relationship to thrive. She is certified in trauma-focused behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and specializes in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and related models and strategies for trauma and anxiety-related issues. She uses an eclectic theoretical approach and enjoys reading the latest research and development regarding new therapeutic methods and neuroplasticity. Grace actively strives to help her clients learn how to facilitate positive change and build resilience in the midst of life’s challenges.
Grace is also the coordinator of a school mentorship program and enjoys singing and playing the piano at her church and community events and venues. She is committed to practicing self-care, traveling with her family and spending time at home with her Pomeranians.
