Intake Process
What to Expect During Our Intake Process:
Questions
Our intake process should not be daunting. We love your questions! We are happy to answer any questions you may have by phone or by email. We also may ask you some questions to help best match you with a therapist.
Match
Our front office will help to best match you with a therapist. If you find a therapist on our website you feel is the best match for you, please let us know! No one knows you better than you!
Checking Insurance
We are happy to check your insurance to see what kind of coverage you have. Some insurances take longer than others to get in touch with, but we will keep you updated along the way. Please note, the quote of benefits we give is only a quote and not a guarantee of payment by your insurance. The insurance companies, at times, get the quote on benefits wrong. This may cause you to have a balance or credit after receiving our services, but we will let you know about any discrepancies as soon as we know about them! Please have your insurance card ready when you call us so we can get those benefits to you as soon as possible!
Securing a Date and Time
After we receive your information and verify your insurance, we will do our very best to find a day and time that is convenient for you to meet with your therapist. To officially reserve your spot, we require you to have a debit or credit card on file. This can be used for your payment for sessions, or it will just be on file in the case of a No-Show. Our No-Show policy is outlined in the Agreement for Services, and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have about this policy. Even if you do not have a copay, we still require the card on file to secure your time-slot.
Setting Reminders
Our office offers email, text, or phone call reminders for your appointment. The default reminders are via text message. Please let us know which would be more convenient for you!
Completing Your Paperwork
Your therapist wants to provide you with expert mental health services and a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to your needs. When you contact our office, our Solution Advocates will provide you with information for entering a patient portal that is confidential to you and your therapist. There you can complete an intake questionnaire that will help your therapist understand more about your personal needs. Most of the therapists at BATT will then review your intake information with you during the first session to make sure they have a complete picture of you and how therapy can help. The portal is easy to navigate and helps us save trees!
