Keeping yourself safe while getting the therapy help you need:
Have you worried about sitting in a public lobby while waiting to see a therapist during the COVID-19 crisis? Teletherapy is a completely safe and germ-free way to get help from a therapist. It’s confidential and HIPAA compliant therapy provided via a live connection to a video chat over the internet.
How does teletherapy work?
You call us to set up an appointment with one of our 13 therapists.
When it’s time for your session, your therapist emails you a link to open your session.
You’ll immediately see your therapist on the screen, and your therapist will see you.
Your copay is usually the same, and our administrators will check your insurance benefits to make sure it is a covered service to you. We also have self pay options available.
Teletherapy is as easy as opening an email or text and clicking a link! Our therapists will walk you through the process at the beginning of your first session, and continue to check in with you to make sure that teletherapy is still a good option for you.
Teens love being able to use technology for therapy! In fact, they often feel more comfortable talking to someone about their challenges through this familiar media.
We serve children via teletherapy also! Teletherapy with children may sound daunting, but our child therapists have creative ways of working with children via video!
Why should I consider teletherapy?
- Save travel time
- Access to therapists who specialize in anxiety and trauma no matter where you live in Alabama
We have many therapists with specialties that set us apart from others. Let us help you walk through the process of teletherapy! Our Solutions Advocates will check your benefits for you and help connect you with a therapist that is a great fit for you.
