Meet Nieshia

Now Offering Teletherapy

Nieshia Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 2 decades of work experience providing therapeutic services to children, adults and families in the Birmingham area. After earning her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2011, she began to work with a broad range of individuals in crisis as well as those coping with serious mental illness.

She uses a range of therapeutic theories and interventions to respond to the unique needs of each individual. Each treatment plan is formulated with the patient and their needs as the central focus of services. In addition to providing quality therapeutic services, Nieshia works to educate the patient and the community on the nature of mental illness, including symptoms, treatments as well as helping to reduce the stigma and shame associated with mental illness and difficulty managing life crises.

She believes that a genuine relationship with the therapist is necessary to provide meaningful and lasting change in the life of the individual or family. Once this is achieved, which includes unconditional positive regard, the journey to self-acceptance and happiness can begin!
