Meet Laura

Now Offering Teletherapy and In Person Sessions

Our therapist Laura Johnson has been a social worker for almost 20 years and has worked with people from all backgrounds and cultures. She has experience helping individuals navigate through the transitions that often occur in life; including illness, divorce and grief related to all types of loss. She believes that every individual has inherent beauty and worth. She describes her role as a therapist as one who guides the individual to create planned change required to live a healthy life. She knows the benefit of focusing on the whole person ~ mind ~ body ~ spirit ~ and the strength that comes from an overall healthy lifestyle that integrates movement, meditation and nutrition.

In addition to her social work practice, Laura has also been teaching in higher education for 20 years. She knows the struggles of maintaining family and career and the challenge of fitting healthy living into an already busy schedule. As a clinical social worker she can use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help meet your specific needs. When life’s demands lead to feelings of anxiety, depression or other negative emotions, our therapist Laura Johnson believes therapy can provide you with the tools needed to successfully navigate your life.
