Consuelo “Connie” Viteri works with individuals, children, couples, families, and groups. She is a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years of experience. Connie is also certified to supervise other licensed counselors. As a trained EMT/Paramedic she has been a first responder to medical emergencies and natural disasters. She has worked with the Red Cross to provide mental health services in the wake of national disasters.
Connie is keenly attuned to cultural issues of isolation, and has worked for the last 25 years with a goal to access people who are greatly underserved, not only due to language barriers but cultural diversity in general. She especially enjoys helping people form bridges to community support. Her work with the Hispanic community not only impacts her work, but is a life mission.
In Her Personal Life
When not at work, Connie has a passion for photographing nature. She loves spending time outdoors, whether she’s kayaking down a local Alabama river or tending to the citrus trees in her garden at home.
